The external fixation device set is used for immediate stabilization, followed by transportation/evacuation, of a patient with open bone fractures, to a facility which can provide more definitive care. The set provides instrumentation for 25 procedures. All items are reusable except for the pins. The set consists of the following non-sterile items: 100 ea single pin-to-rod clamps, 50 ea universal rod-to-rod clamps, 25 ea 400 mm x 11 mm rods, 3 ea combination pin inserter/clamp adjusting application tool, 100 ea 5 mm self-tapping, self-drilling stainless steel pins fully threaded to 45 mm, 25 ea 3 mm step-down pins, 10 copies of "instructions for use" manuals, and 1 ea stainless steel storage case. This fixation device set is compatible with external fixation device nsn 6515-01-436-2515.
